Blog 10: Finishing Everything – Part 2

Hello everyone and welcome back to one of my final blogs for this project! This blog is going to be the last one where I explain what I did for the week. I may create one last blog to wrap up everything and explain what this Senior Project has achieved, but this is the last content blog. This week was a continuation of last week’s finishing everything.

This week was spent cleaning up everything and making everything ready to be published. A majority of this week was actually spent finishing up the first draft of my presentation. My first rehearsal is on the 25th, so I wanted to get a complete presentation before actually working on any of the other stuff. This meant that I spent a lot of my time making my presentation visually appealing, informative, and concise. To do this, I went back through all my blogs and information on the project to see a comprehensive view of what I did over the course of the project. I decided to focus my presentation on the 3 computers as well as the auxiliary resources since those are what I spent most of my time on. I’m writing this as I’ve just finished my rehearsal, and I got a lot of great information of what to improve and how to change my presentation. I won’t be blogging it, but I will still be working on improving my presentation over the coming weeks.

The rest of this week was spent on the rest of my auxiliary components. That is, mainly the website. I noted a few things last week that I needed to do to finish up my website, and I did end up doing most of that. I put images on my project portfolio. I also set up the payment system for the additional features. Since you have to be an official business to do most payment programs, I decided to do a more manual system. The buyer sends their name, email, and $5 to my PayPal, and I email them back the password for the protected page. For now, this is a manual process, but I do plan on creating a program in the future to automate this if necessary. I also connected some of my socials to the website and made sure all the pages correctly linked up with one another. With that, my website and all parts of it are completely functional and the website is officially completed and published and the content of my project officially over!

That was mostly it for this week, like I mentioned earlier I may make another blog to wrap everything up, but if I don’t I want to thank everyone for reading, as well as all the people who helped me make this project what it is now!
